About the role
Booker Group is recruiting for Supply Planner roles at our head office in Wellingborough, Equity House, Irthlingborough Road, NN8 1LT. Once fully inducted, we offer hybrid working: 3 days in the office and 2 remote.
In this role, you will be responsible for end-to-end planning and stock flow from suppliers to stores and customers, using data to maximize availability while minimizing inventory and waste.
You will be responsible for
- Managing a portfolio of products and suppliers.
- Ensuring all processes comply with GSCOP.
- Managing process changes in branch orderable products.
- Root causing out-of-stock issues and communicating key issues.
- Managing underperforming suppliers.
- Achieving service level and stockholding targets.
- Planning intake processes smoothly and accurately.
- Monitoring stock levels, delisted stock, and overstocks, and taking corrective actions.
- Planning for seasonality and trends to ensure product availability.
- Launching new product lines effectively.
- Forecasting sales to meet availability targets.
- Ensuring maximum product availability during peak activity and escalated issues.
- Maintaining good communication with the trading team for excellent service.
- Adhering to company policies and procedures.
- Escalating issues appropriately.
- Championing inclusion and diversity within Booker.
You will need
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills.
