Qualifications

Academics is currently seeking passionate and experienced Physical Education (PE) Teachers to work in our client secondary schools and academies in Stoke-on-Trent & Newcastle-under-Lyme. Working as a supply teacher offers a flexible way to explore various schools and can enhance your classroom experience for your CV. Supply roles are also beneficial for recently qualified teachers (ECTs), potentially leading to long-term or permanent positions.

Applicants must:

1. Hold a relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, B. Ed, or BA Hons) with UK Qualified Teaching Status (QTS/QTLS).
2. Demonstrate strong classroom management skills and the ability to build rapport with students.
3. Deliver engaging PE lessons, using your initiative and knowledge of the national curriculum.
4. Provide references showing experience working with students in Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4.
5. Possess a current Enhanced DBS registered with the Update Service or be willing to apply for a new one (cost applies).

Your daily rate will depend on your experience, qualifications, the length of supply (short or long term), and current client rates.
