At Babcock, we’re working to create a safe and secure world, together. Join us as a Supply Operations Manager at our Bovington site and play your part.

The role

As a Supply Operations Manager, you will manage a team of nine managers/leaders overseeing sixty-five employees, ensuring the efficient operation of the department.

You will identify areas for improvement, drive change initiatives, and enhance efficiencies. Your responsibilities include conducting appraisals, managing training, addressing absences, and recruitment activities.

  • Identify and pursue potential commercial opportunities
  • Monitor contracts monthly and ensure proper management of authority accounts
  • Manage departmental operating costs within budget
  • Compile reports and statistics for Contract / Operations Managers
  • Assist company bid teams and visitors
  • Promote continuous improvement by reviewing processes and implementing best practices to add value for customers and contracts

This is a full-time role, based on-site at Bovington, working 37 hours per week.

Essential experience for the Supply Operations Manager

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Driving license (category B minimum)
  • Experience managing change within an operational environment

Qualifications

A Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH Managing Safely, is advantageous. We value diverse backgrounds and experiences; if you demonstrate the required skills and willingness to learn, we want to hear from you.
