Job summary

Protocol Education is recruiting enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners for flexible supply across London's Tower Hamlets nurseries and child centres. You will support 0–5s under EYFS, creating a safe and stimulating environment, and helping with daily routines and observations.

This role offers flexible daily/short-term/long-term placements, weekly PAYE pay, free CPD, and dedicated consultant support. DBS checks and safeguarding training are required or available.

Qualifications

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent.
• Experience in nursery, preschool, or early years setting.
• Understanding of the EYFS framework and safeguarding.
• DBS check (Enhanced) or willingness to apply.

Responsibilities

• Support children aged 0–5 years in line with EYFS.

Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Practitioners to work on a flexible supply basis across a range of nursery, children's centre and early years settings throughout the London Borough of Tower Hamlets.

The Role

As a Supply Early Years Practitioner, you will:

• Support children aged 0–5 years in line with the EYFS framework
• Create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment
• Support children's learning, development, and wellbeing through play-based activities
• Assist with observations and daily nursery routines
• Work collaboratively with nursery staff and families
• Support children with SEND where required
• Provide personal care, including toileting and feeding where necessary

The Ideal Candidate Will Have

• A Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Early Years, Childcare, or equivalent (preferred)
• Previous experience working within a nursery, preschool, children's centre, or early years setting
• A good understanding of the EYFS framework
• Experience supporting children with SEND is desirable
• Paediatric First Aid certification is desirable but not essential
• Experience using nursery systems such as Tapestry is beneficial
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one
• A current Safeguarding certificate or willingness to complete training
• The right to work in the UK

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
