Job summary

Protocol Education is partnering with Croydon-based nurseries to supply qualified Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants for flexible daily cover and longer‑term bookings.

You’ll support children’s learning, play and wellbeing, lead activities, and help daily routines in friendly settings.

Qualifications

• Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent).
• At least 1 year of nursery or early years experience.
• Warm, nurturing approach and confidence with young children.
• Reliable with ability to settle quickly into new environments.

• Support children's learning, play and wellbeing in nursery settings.
• Lead activities and assist with daily routines to create calm spaces.
• Build relationships with settings and adapt to flexible schedules.

Protocol Education is working with a fantastic mix of school-based nurseries and private nurseries across Croydon, and we’re looking for qualified Nursery Practitioners and Nursery Assistants to support with flexible daily cover. Alongside ad-hoc days, there are also longer‑term bookings available for those who enjoy routine and consistency in one setting.

You’ll be supporting children’s learning, play and wellbeing in friendly, welcoming nursery environments. From leading activities to supporting daily routines, you’ll help create calm, caring spaces where children can thrive.

What we’re looking for

• Ideally - Level 2 or Level 3 Early Years qualification (or equivalent)
• 1 yr minimum experience in a nursery or early years setting
• A warm, nurturing approach and confidence with young children
• Reliability and the ability to settle quickly into new environments

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
