Are you an experienced Design Technology teacher with a passion for inspiring students?

We are looking for an enthusiastic Supply Design Technology Teacher to join our network of schools in and around Plaistow. Whether you're seeking daily supply, short-term, or longer-term placements, we have flexible opportunities to suit your schedule. Beginning asap.

Duties as a Design Technology Teacher:

  1. Deliver engaging and practical lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 (and Key Stage 5 if applicable).
  2. Promote creativity and problem-solving skills through Design Technology subjects such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Graphics, and Textiles.
  3. Maintain a positive and productive classroom environment, managing both theoretical and practical lessons.
  4. Adapt quickly to different schools and follow lesson plans or create your own as required.
  5. Ensure safety in the workshops and practical environments.
  6. Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  7. Have experience teaching Design Technology in secondary schools.
  8. Be confident in delivering practical lessons and managing workshops as a Design Technology Teacher.
  9. Be adaptable, reliable, and able to maintain high standards of classroom management.
  10. Be committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of students.
