Job summary

Elemis is seeking a Supply/Demand Planner for a 12‑month fixed term contract in Filton, near Bristol. The role alternates between Demand Planning and Supply Planning, supporting the Global Planning team and collaborating with Commercial, Marketing, Supply and QA teams.

You will develop forecasts, manage supplier relations, monitor inventory and drive improvements in planning processes, ensuring product availability and mitigated supply risks.

Responsibilities

  • Support Demand Planning by developing and maintaining forecasts.
  • Analyse sales trends, forecast accuracy and KPIs.
  • Drive planning process improvements and forecast accuracy.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams for consensus forecasts.
  • Support S&OP activities and new product launches.
  • Manage supply plans across finished goods and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory and mitigate stock risks.
  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders, and build supplier relationships.
  • Monitor supplier performance and KPIs.
  • Support cross-functional planning projects and system implementations.

Supply/Demand Planner

Description

Supply & Demand Planner - 12 Month Fixed Term Contract. This is a 12‑month fixed term opportunity to support the Global Planning team by providing cover across both Demand Planning and Supply Planning.

During the first phase of the contract, the successful candidate will provide cover for a Demand Planner developing and maintaining demand forecasts, supporting the S&OP process and working closely with Commercial, Marketing/Sales and Supply teams.

Following this, the role will transition into Supply Planning, managing Supplier relationships, inventory and supply plans to ensure product availability while mitigating supply risks.

What Will You Do?
Demand Planning (Initial Assignment)
  • Develop and maintain short, medium and long-term demand forecasts.
  • Analyse sales trends, forecast accuracy and key demand planning KPIs.
  • Drive continuous improvement in planning processes and forecast accuracy.
  • Identify demand risks and opportunities and recommend corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with Commercial teams to build a consensus forecast.
  • Support new product launches, promotions and product discontinuations.
  • Support monthly Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities.
Supply Planning (Second Assignment)
  • Manage supply plans across a portfolio of finished goods and suppliers.
  • Monitor inventory levels to maintain service while optimising stock.
  • Identify and mitigate supply risks and out-of-stock situations.
  • Escalate supply constraints and drive recovery plans with suppliers where required.
  • Manage excess and obsolete inventory.
  • Raise and manage Purchase Orders.
  • Build collaborative relationships with Suppliers.
  • Monitor supplier performance and KPIs.
  • Work closely with Suppliers, QC, NPD/EPD and Warehouse teams to resolve any supply issues
Other
  • Support implementation of new planning systems and business processes.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across Global Planning.
  • Produce report and analysis to support business decision-making.
  • Support cross-functional planning projects as required.
The Perfect Candidate:
Essential
  • Good level/standard of UK/European education or equivalent.
  • Educated to Degree level or similar level of work experience.
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication and Stakeholder Management skills.
  • Ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment.
  • Collaborative team player.
  • Proactive approach to problem solving.
  • Ability to learn new systems and processes quickly.
Desirable
  • Experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning or Inventory Planning.
  • Experience with FMCG or Consumer Goods.
  • Knowledge of ERP or Planning Systems (D365, SAP, Oracle, Anaplan or similar)
  • Experience supporting Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
