What you have to do as a Supply Cover Teacher:

• Deliver planned lessons and adapt resources as needed to meet students’ needs
• Manage classroom behaviour to ensure a safe and productive environment
• Engage and motivate students to achieve learning objectives
• Liaise with teaching staff to report on student progress and behaviour
• Maintain accurate attendance records and complete required documentation
• Follow school safeguarding and health and safety policies
• Support the continuity of education during teacher absences
• Collaborate with school staff to ensure smooth day-to-day operations

Skills & Requirements for a Supply Cover Teacher:

• Qualified teacher status or equivalent teaching qualification or experience as a Supply Cover Teacher preferred
• Experience working with secondary school students in a classroom setting
• Strong organisational and behaviour management skills
• Flexibility to cover a range of subjects and timetables
• Have an up-to-date CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one)
