West Lothian Council seeks a Cook to assist in catering services across schools and adult care units. The role encompasses cooking, managing staff, and ensuring meal quality while adhering to safety standards and compliance with the PVG Scheme. Position: Cook
Hours: 30 hours per week
This role involves assisting the supervisor in providing catering services throughout the authority in schools, or working independently in adult day care and housing with care units. Responsibilities include directing staff in the absence of the supervisor, assisting with cooking and baking, serving, and managing stock levels.
This post is considered Regulated Work with children and/or protected adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scotland Act 2007. From 28 February 2011, preferred candidates will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check prior to a formal offer of employment being made by West Lothian Council.
