Job description

Job Description Summary

The Supply Chain Value Stream Leader will be responsible for managing and optimising the flow of materials and information to ensure customer needs are met. They will lead the Materials and Logistics teams by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders, delivering end-to-end supply chain resilience, and ensuring accountability at the appropriate levels.

This position will be an integral member of the Caledonian Senior Leadership team.

Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Lead by example, meeting EHS requirements and actively promoting continuous improvement in EHS activities throughout the team and the site.

  2. Ensure end-to-end delivery flow across the shop, from accurate receipt and dispatch to accumulation and presentation, meeting customer TAT requirements.

  3. Provide leadership to ensure compliance with all relevant legislation, including customs compliance, company policies & procedures, and GE Behaviours.

  4. Develop personal capabilities around FLIGHT DECK to improve SQDC by leading and coaching the team.

  5. Interpret internal and external business challenges and recommend best practices to improve processes, maximising cost reduction and productivity opportunities.

  6. Implement standard work and operating rhythms to optimise business performance and service levels. Build, develop, and coach the team to support these goals.

  7. Monitor supplier performance closely and work with suppliers to enhance and improve on-time delivery metrics.

  8. Utilize data analytics and digital tools to drive insights, improve decision-making, and enhance supply chain efficiency.

  9. Create stability within the materials stream by improving material ordering standards and supply chain resiliency.

  10. Build knowledge of external material processes, develop strong relationships within the GE Supply Chain network, and leverage best practices.

  11. Identify potential risks, escalate when necessary, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure successful supply chain transformation initiatives.

  • Significant experience in Material Fulfillment and Supply Chain Management.

  • Experience leading, managing, and coaching colleagues through change projects.

  • Strong knowledge of change management principles, methodologies, and tools.

  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to think strategically and drive results in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience with logistics best practices, material ordering, and ERP systems.

  • Experience with lean methodologies and continuous improvement practices is beneficial.
