Job Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership Procurement Services, Supply Chain, Logistics & Transport Team function. We currently have a vacancy to oversee a project team delivering the roll out of a new inventory management system to the Cardiff & Vale Healthboard, base in University Llandough Hospital.

The Job role is a Supply Chain Supervisor, where the successful postholder will be supporting the Local R&D Manager in overseeing the operations and supervising the staff within the Receipt & Distribution site, as well as supporting the roll out of Supply X.

Main duties of the job

The successful applicants will have previous experience working in a similar capacity, specifically Warehousing/Customer Service organisation, the ordering of goods, ,inventory management and stock control. An excellent understanding of Health & Safety is also essential for this role.

The roles will cover but will not be limited to the additional tasks below.

  • Assisting in the rollout and supervising of a new inventory management system within Llandough Hospital.
  • Supporting the Local R&D Manager in the day to day Management / Supervising of the R&D Site and its functions.
  • Liaising with service users to promote the use of the new system
  • Ensure Staff's Satutory & Mandatory training is maintained, as well as ensuring staff are proficient in using the Supply X inventory management System.
  • Ensuring effective stock levels are held
  • Deputising for the Local R&D Manager when required

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.
