Job description

My client is a leading player in the procurement and supply chain sector, seeking a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their dynamic team in Surrey. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment, working with the import and export of global food products.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Coordinate the transportation of goods, ensuring timely delivery to meet customer demands
  2. Plan delivery schedules and liaise with transport providers
  3. Monitor and review transportation costs to optimize efficiency
  4. Maintain accurate records of purchases, shipments, and loadings using Microsoft Business Central and Excel
  5. Track shipments and prepare necessary transportation documentation
  6. Communicate effectively with internal departments across the company
  7. Work closely with Account Managers to fulfill customer delivery requirements
  8. Process invoices and consignments using Microsoft Business Central
  9. Liaise with suppliers and customers, resolving issues or complaints promptly
  10. Provide general administrative support to the logistics team

Job Requirements:

  1. Strong administrative skills, including accurate data entry
  2. Previous experience in logistics or supply chain coordination
  3. Experience with Microsoft Business Central is an advantage
  4. Excellent communication skills - both verbal and written
  5. Strong customer service and relationship management skills
  6. Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude
  7. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
  8. Excellent attention to detail and time management
  9. Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel
  10. Fluency in English; additional languages (especially French) are a plus
