Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is recruiting a Supply Chain Quality Professional to lead supplier audits, governance, and data-driven insights across the supplier lifecycle in a nuclear-grade environment. You will influence stakeholders in regulated settings and drive continuous improvement with cross-functional teams.

The role sits in the Supplier Quality function, reporting to the Supplier Quality Manager, with hybrid working from Manchester or Warrington and some supplier travel.

Qualifications

  • Quality assurance experience in regulated or complex industrial environments with audits/assessments.
  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 or equivalent standards and application.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, influencing cross-functionally with suppliers.
  • A degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • Formal Quality training including ISO9001 Lead Assessor and ISO19443; problem-solving methodologies (8D, A3, RCCA, 5Why).
  • Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), APQP/PPAP exposure; experience across global multisite supply chains.

Responsibilities

  • Perform supplier audits, assessments and surveillance to ensure compliance and effective controls.
  • Prepare high-quality reports identifying risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support containment, root cause analysis and corrective action with cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain accurate, compliant supplier data within ERP, audit and QMS systems.
  • Conduct regular site visits to suppliers and customers as part of audit and development activities.

Our Supplier Quality function plays a critical role in assuring the integrity,safetyand performance of our global supply chain. As we scale rapidly to support fleet deployment, we must ensure every supplier meets the stringent quality, regulatory and compliance requirements expected of anuclear gradesupply chain.

To support this, we are recruiting aSupply Chain Quality Professionalto lead supplier audits, provide robust governance, drivedata driveninsights and ensure our suppliers consistently meet the standardsrequiredto deliver safe, compliant andhigh qualityproducts and services.Reporting into the Supplier Quality Manager, this role helps shape supplier readiness, developlong termcapability and protect product integrity across the full supplier lifecycle.

Whatyou’llbe doing
  • Perform supplier audits, assessmentsand surveillance activities to ensure supplierscomply withSMSR, regulatory and quality requirements and verify that effective controls are in place.

  • Preparehigh qualityreports and analyses toidentifyrisks,trendsand improvement opportunities leading to recommendations that support sourcing and strategic decisions.

  • Support containment,root causeanalysis and corrective action activity to stabilise and improve supplier performance - and work cross-functionally within RRSMR and external suppliers to resolve issues

  • Maintainaccurate, compliantsupplier relateddata within ERP,auditand QMS systems, ensuring governance, change control, regulatory requirements and internal quality standards are met.

  • Conduct regular site visits to suppliers and customers as part of audit,assuranceand development activities.

What you will bring

You’llbring strong quality assurance capability, confidence conducting supplier audits and an ability to influence stakeholders in complex and regulated environments, notably

  • Quality assurance experience in regulated or complex industrial environments with proven experience conducting supplier audits or assessments.

  • Working knowledge of ISO9001, AS9100 or equivalent standards, with the ability to interpret and apply quality requirements effectively.

  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with confidence influencing without authority and collaborating onsite with suppliers.

  • A degree in Quality, Engineering, Manufacturing or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.

  • Formal Quality training including ISO9001 (or equivalent), Lead Assessor (ISO9001 & ISO19443), and experience withproblem solvingmethodologies (8D, A3, RCCA, 5Why).

  • And if you have Lean Six Sigma (Green/Black Belt), APQP/PPAP exposure, and experience across global or multisite supply chains - then we really ought to talk

Location & Ways of Working

This role can be basedfromour Manchesteror Warrington office.Hybrid working is standard, with regular supplier travelrequired.Some international travel may also be required depending on supplier activity.
