About the job you're considering

Capgemini Engineering is seeking Supply Chain Quality Engineers with experience in Commercial Aerospace to join our growing team in Bristol, Belfast, Broughton, or Prestwick.

Hybrid working: Your work location will vary between Company offices, client sites, and your home, depending on your role, needs, and business requirements. Note that you cannot work 100% from home.

Successful candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including verification of immigration status, employment history for the past 3 years, and a criminal record check (Disclosure and Barring Service).

Your Role

  • Act as key operational supplier interface, fostering trust and teamwork between the Client & suppliers.
  • Assess supplier capacity, capability, and performance; contribute to supplier development.
  • Manage workload at supplier level, prevent missing inputs, and avoid work ruptures.
  • Challenge suppliers on contract modifications to maintain ISO perimeter (OTOCOQ).
  • Contribute to documentation clarifying business relations (Change requests, Specifications, etc.).
  • Ensure quality and on-time deliveries by managing milestones and product lifecycle reviews.
  • Verify compliance with requirements and secure industrial maturity through inspections and assessments.
  • Lead supplier performance reviews and represent supply chain operations in various forums.
  • Initiate and manage supplier performance improvement projects.
  • Develop short-term recovery plans as needed.
  • Identify industrial risks and propose mitigation actions, communicate status and escalate when necessary.
  • Manage supply chain and quality aspects of contracts, ensuring on-time, on-quality, and on-cost performance.
  • Manage supplier quality approval processes, ensuring compliance with certifications.

Your Skills and Experience

  • At least three years’ experience in manufacturing within Aerospace industries.
  • Experience with MRP/ERP tools, preferably SAP.
  • Ability to work in volatile/high-pressure environments resolving supply issues.
  • Effective prioritization skills.
  • Clear communication skills across interfaces.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Experience reporting to internal and external customers.
