Job Description:

Supply Chain Project Specialist - Strategic Transformation - Global Infrastructure Organisation
£45k - £60k + Car Allowance + Bonus
Remote with Office based throughout the UK (e.g. London Derby, Manchester, Newcastle, Liverpool etc.)

Are you a strategic thinker with a passion for shaping supplier relationships and influencing supply chain performance? Do you enjoy tackling varied, complex challenges in a fast-moving environment?

My client is a highly regarded Ftse 100 organisation going through an exciting procurement transformation. In an industry not renowned for a modernised procurement approach, their leadership team have placed a key emphasis bringing best-in-class methodologies to supply chain on driving central procurement team as a Supply Chain Partner, focused on one of our most critical areas: blue-collar labour. This is a rare opportunity to step into a strategic, non-sourcing role where you'll shape the way they partner, engage, and drive performance with key suppliers.

Why This Role?

Reporting into Head of Supply Chain, this position is part of a bold transformation. The team has moved away from traditional category-based procurement to a partner-led model-and this role is central to that shift.

You'll manage and develop the relationship with the primary labour supplier, used across all projects nationally. Think: relationship performance scoring, audits, insurance oversight, and strategic business review meetings. This isn't about transactional buying-it's about ensuring long-term supplier integration, performance, and alignment with group-wide strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Strategically act as the key link between the business and their central labour supplier
  • Own performance management, site visits, reviews, and engagement strategies
  • Track supplier compliance, audit activity, and risk management
  • Support with a secondary legacy category (Building Envelope - e.g. steel framing, temporary protection for construction in hospitals, unis etc.)
  • Use in-house tools to manage partner intelligence and engagement activity
  • Contribute to broader supply chain initiatives led by the team to modernise and transform how supply chain management works across the business

Who You Are:

My client is open to canndidates from a variety of industry backgrounds, looking for thinkers, challengers, and relationship-builders.

You might come from FMCG, manufacturing, utilities, logistics, or even a strategic account/project management role. What matters is your ability to operate with senior stakeholders, communicate clearly, and demonstrate strategic initiative.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • 1-2 + years' experience in supply chain management, supplier engagement, forecasting, or performance improvement
  • Strong communication skills, especially with senior internal and external stakeholders
  • A strategic mindset-able to plan, measure, and improve supplier relationships
  • Confidence working independently, bringing new ideas to the table, and presenting to leadership
  • Good technical/commercial awareness (basic contracts knowledge, MS tools, PowerPoint)
  • A proactive nature-comfortable working with ambiguity and shaping your own roadmap

This role is ideal for someone looking to step up, bring ideas to life, and be part of a team redefining how supply chain management operates in a major UK organisation.

What's on Offer:

  • Salary up to £60,000
  • Car allowance + bonus
  • Remote-first working with flexible access to regional offices (Derby, Manchester, Newcastle, London, etc.)
  • Structured support from a highly experienced and passionate Head of SCM
  • The chance to truly shape the role around your strengths and ambitions

Be part of something new. Be part of a team that's building the future of strategic supply chain management-your way.
