The EU Startup Supply Chain team seeks a motivated Program Manager to oversee external warehouses and asset transfers across multiple warehouses in EMEA, supporting new site launches and network expansion. This role manages $15MM of assets annually, performance manages local Inventory Managers, and drives strategic initiatives to enhance inventory management. Candidates should be adept at data analysis to identify opportunities and risks.

This individual contributor role involves influencing stakeholders both internally and externally, requiring strong project management skills and experience.

The position is based in Barcelona, with up to 30% travel across EMEA countries.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives to improve supply chain efficiency and cost structure across BOM, ordering, inventory, and receivals.
  • Analyze business data to identify opportunities for process improvements.
  • Act as escalation point for field PMs, vendors, and contractors.
  • Manage operational excellence using data-driven metrics with expertise in Coupa and material management systems.
  • Automate reporting dashboards and metrics.
  • Develop scalable solutions for ordering and inventory issues.
  • Define project requirements and coordinate across teams.
  • Interface with project teams on supply chain matters.
  • Identify risks, escalate, and influence stakeholders for mitigation.
  • Own supply chain KPIs to ensure timely and complete material delivery.
A Day in the Life

The Program Manager collaborates daily with procurement, project managers, suppliers, and vendors to understand material needs, monitor operations, and escalate risks. Analyzing large data sets is essential to make informed decisions on material management for EU and MENA site launches.

About the Team

As Amazon expands in Europe, the EMEA Startup Supply Chain Team prepares new fulfillment centers with all necessary materials, managing approximately 4,000 items per project from over 500 suppliers across 12 countries.

Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, or Engineering.
  • Warehouse management experience.
  • Proven project management and implementation skills.
  • Experience in material flow, Coupa, and vendor management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
  • Experience managing multiple warehouse sites.
  • Ability to prioritize, plan, and delegate tasks effectively.
  • Leadership skills with influence management.
  • Knowledge of warehouse procedures and policies.
  • Strong problem-solving and leadership qualities.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken in English.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in large, complex supply chain environments.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience in warehousing, inventory, finance, vendor, or project management.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Languages such as Spanish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Arabic, Turkish, Afrikaans, or Zulu are a plus.
