Job description

Vickerstock are working in partnership with a large manufacturing/fabrication business on the appointment of a Supply Chain & Procurement Manager on a full-time permanent basis Monday - Thursday 8am - 5pm, Friday 8am - 3pm.

As the Supply Chain Manager, you will be responsible for designing and executing supply chain strategies which will improve overall efficiency and enhance service levels as well as identifying supply chain risks and developing mitigation strategies to minimise disruptions.

In your new role:

  • Develop and implement supply chain strategies to enhance operational efficiency and service levels
  • Identify potential supply chain risks and establish mitigation plans to minimise disruptions
  • Collaborate with suppliers and manufacturers to maintain a seamless supply flow; analyse issues and develop effective, data-driven solutions
  • Monitor supplier performance against defined KPIs to ensure adherence to quality and delivery standards
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, internal policies, and environmental sustainability objectives
  • Execute cost-effective supply chain strategies aimed at reducing operational expenses without compromising quality
  • Manage timely procurement and delivery of materials to align with project schedules and deadlines
  • Coordinate logistics activities with carriers and third-party logistics providers (3PLs) to ensure smooth distribution


What you will need to succeed:

  • 4 year's experience in a senior supply chain position
  • Strong procurement/purchasing background (ideally in construction or heavy manufacturing)
  • Experience at a strategic level with prior team management experience an added bonus
  • Related degree or industry qualification, i.e., CIPS, APICS.
