My client is seeking a commercially aware and results-driven individual to lead our supply chain and planning function. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to the implementation of key systems, optimise material flow, and work collaboratively across departments to ensure delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities as a Supply Chain & Planning Manager

Strategic Supply Chain Management

  • Develop and execute action plans to increase profitability through supply chain optimisation
  • Negotiate terms, discounts, and contractual agreements with suppliers
  • Implement vendor management systems and common part standardisation
  • Maintain supplier performance metrics and manage underperformance

Operational Procurement & Planning

  • Collaborate with design and engineering teams to optimise BOM content
  • Ensure BOMs are correctly uploaded to Sage and order materials to meet prototype and production schedules
  • Monitor BOM cost vs. planned budget, reporting variances
  • Implement and manage min/max stock levels in collaboration with Finance and Operations
  • Co-ordinate deliveries, production pick lists, and manage Free Issue material
  • Conduct daily BOM roll-ups and assist with stock takes
  • Conduct/support supplier audits in line with ISO9001 standards

Essential Experience, Skills & Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar supply chain/planning role
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, and commercial skills
  • Proven experience in ERP/MRP systems (SAP advantageous)
