Matthew James Group Ltd in Gloucester is recruiting a Supply Chain Planner for a 12-month fixed term contract. The role focuses on day-to-day planning, supplier liaison, and ensuring materials and stock are available when needed.

The successful candidate will have experience in manufacturing, purchasing or supply chain, with ERP and Excel skills, and a collaborative, proactive approach to team work.

Qualifications

• Experience in manufacturing, purchasing or supply chain.
• Some understanding of materials planning or stock control would be advantageous.
• ERP experience beneficial.
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent organisation and communication skills.
• Positive, proactive approach and attention to detail.
• Team player willing to learn and support colleagues.

Responsabilités

• Monitor and progress purchase orders, liaising with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries.
• Support materials planning activities to ensure stock availability meets business requirements.
• Work closely with Category Managers, Purchasing and Supply Chain teams to maintain stock levels.
• Chase outstanding orders, obtain delivery updates and resolve potential supply issues.
• Maintain accurate purchasing, supplier and stock information within the ERP system.
• Identify potential shortages or delays and communicate these to relevant teams.
• Assist with general supply chain administration and continuous improvement activities.
