Job summary

A Supply Chain Planner is needed in Leeds to manage operational planning for a critical segment of the supply chain, oversee global supplier performance, and optimize inventory to meet service targets.

The role focuses on supplier performance management, daily planning, and inventory optimization, with emphasis on proactive problem solving and cross-functional process improvements using Six Sigma tools. 9-month contract in Leeds until March 2027.

Qualifications

• Degree (B.S. or B.A.) in Supply Chain or relevant discipline, or equivalent work experience in a planning/analytical supply chain role.
• Hands-on experience in supplier performance management and driving continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), trade-offs, network exception management, and inbound materials tracking/management.
• Ability to work alongside data teams to identify key planning parameters and optimize for operational outcomes.
• Track record of delivering both personal and team results for broader network success.

Responsibilities

• Actively manage and collaborate with a complex network of global suppliers to maintain high performance standards.
• Oversee daily planning processes to identify and prevent potential supply chain bottlenecks or failures.
• Balance supply and demand to hit inventory targets and drive continuous service improvements.
• Champion proactive planning practices to minimize the need for expediting and elevate potential issues early.
• Lead cross-functional stakeholders to develop and implement short- and mid-term tactical improvements using Six Sigma tools.
