Job description

I'm currently partnering with a well-known FMCG business based in Fife who are looking to recruit a Supply Chain Planner to join their growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a proactive mindset and strong attention to detail who is looking to develop their career in supply chain. You might be a recent graduate with some industry exposure, or someone with 1 2 years experience ready to take the next step.

This role plays a key part in ensuring the business maintains the right levels of raw materials and finished goods to meet customer demand all while working closely with colleagues across production, procurement, and sales.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently manage supply chain processes to ensure timely delivery of customer orders
  • Access and analyse customer sales orders and maintain production plans accordingly
  • Monitor production activity vs plan, adjusting schedules as needed
  • Maintain ERP item data (raw materials, WIP, finished goods)
  • Generate and place timely work orders and raw material call-offs
  • Analyse sales performance vs forecast and report accordingly
  • Work closely with Account Managers to understand sales trends and fluctuations
  • Communicate with suppliers to ensure timely material deliveries
  • Coordinate internally with production, procurement, NPD, and distribution teams to ensure smooth supply chain operations
  • Manage customer supply issues and provide accurate information regarding incomplete orders or competitor-supplied stock
