Hays Supply Chain is thrilled to be working on a new and exciting opportunity as a Supply Planner for a global manufacturing business based in Rotherham. As a Supply Planner, you will optimise the supply chain in our region by balancing supply demands, ensuring minimum production and distribution costs are incurred whilst providing the best-in-class customer service. Additionally, you will actively manage and analyse power cost optimisation for the business's production plants in the UK and Ireland, through implementing load management plans. In this role, to achieve success, you will have the opportunity to collaborate with multiple areas of the business, including the Operating Centre, Planning Centre, and Transport functions to plan and implement supply plans that minimise plant running costs and optimise distribution labour and vehicle use.

What you'll need to succeed
  • Experience in a similar position within a planning function in Supply Chain, Demand, or Transport.
  • A results-oriented mindset with a proven track record of delivering results and implementing supply chain strategies that meet business goals.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, developing and maintaining relationships with stakeholders at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Interest and experience in identifying and implementing improvements to maximise efficiency within the product supply chain team.
  • Strong analytical skills and experience using digital tools and systems, including Power BI, Excel, ERP, etc.
