As our business looks to deliver its ambitious strategy of growth, we are looking for a Supply Chain Planner to join our Rawcliffe Bridge team to be responsible for production planning for numerous assets on site as well as responsibility for the procurement for associated raw materials and packaging for the production plan. You will play a key role in ensuring all SAP master data is correct and maintained, thus ensuring the department functions efficiently. In this role you will work closely with all functions of the Supply Chain, as well as external suppliers and freight forwarders.

- Extensive knowledge of SAP processes in the Sales & Distribution and Production Planning modules.
- You will have excellent attention to detail.
- You will have the ability to plan and carry out multiple activities with competing priorities.
- You will possess excellent communication skills.
- Experience within a Supply Chain environment is desirable but not essential.
- Procurement experience would be an advantage.
- Educated to GCSEs in Mathematics and English (grade C or above).Customs knowledge is desirable but not essential.
What You’ll Be Doing

- Using SAP / APS to develop and implement an appropriate production schedule. Making decisions on the viability of turning planned order and/or purchase requisition requirements into firm process orders and/or purchase orders based on customer demand, forecast and safety stock requirements, while maintaining company stocking policies.
- To effectively communicate the production schedule and any issues arising from it to all key stakeholders.
- Continually review the production schedule to ensure all forward demands are being met and take appropriate actions.
- To make scheduling and/or procurement decisions that may impact customer orders and company stocking policies, ensuring any issues are communicated to stakeholders.
- Ensure raw materials and packaging materials are available in time to meet production requirements. Such materials can be sourced from production areas, warehouses and off-site suppliers.
- Ensure product compatibility is maintained and washouts between production batches is minimised to avoid off-spec production.
- To continually devise and create improvements to systems and ways of working to improve efficiency and the speed of delivery of information from the department.
- To ensure that appropriate key performance indicators are reported and monitored against targets as identified in annual appraisal / objectives.
- Communicate and support the QC department regarding opportunities for rework.
- To attend and play a key role in contributing planning issues in daily and weekly meetings, providing key commercial information for meetings to improve the efficiency and running of the plants and/or procurement process.
- Execute actions for blocked, slow moving stock and rework as advised by QC.
- Ensure any supplier complaints are logged and actioned appropriately.
- Ensure invoice queries are actioned in a timely manner.
- Respond in a timely manner to escalations taking action to schedule new production if required.
