Job summary

Cefetra Limited in Glasgow is seeking a Logistics Analyst to help drive efficiency and cost control across haulage and shipping operations. This role goes beyond reporting, with an investigative mindset to identify root causes and translate data into actionable insights.

You will develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and management reporting, work with Trading, Haulage, Shipping, Operations and Finance, and support continuous improvement across the wider supply chain.

Qualifications

• Experience in an analytical, investigative or performance-focused role.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.
• Advanced Excel capabilities and experience with large datasets.
• Ability to turn complex information into practical recommendations.

Responsibilities

• Analyse haulage costs, pricing and transport performance to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.
• Investigate stock losses, vessel outturn variances, demurrage and other supply chain performance issues.
• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and management reporting.
• Identify trends, risks and operational anomalies and provide clear recommendations.
• Work closely with Trading, Haulage, Shipping, Operations, Finance and other stakeholders to drive performance improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives across the wider supply chain.

Logistics Analyst

With 700,000 tonnes of storage capacity supported by state-of-the-art processing technology, the business dispatches between 85,000 - 90,000 tonnes of raw materials to industry partners every week and delivers up to 600 lorry loads per day. About the role:

We're looking for a operational minded Supply Chain Performance Analyst to help drive efficiency, cost control and continuous improvement across our haulage and shipping operations.

This is more than a reporting role. We're seeking someone with a naturally investigative mindset who enjoys getting to the root cause of operational and commercial issues, identifying opportunities for improvement and turning data into meaningful business insight.

What You'll Be Doing

• Analyse haulage costs, pricing and transport performance to identify efficiencies and cost-saving opportunities.


• Investigate stock losses, vessel outturn variances, demurrage and other supply chain performance issues.


• Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards and management reporting.


• Identify trends, risks and operational anomalies and provide clear recommendations.

What We're Looking For

• Experience in an analytical, investigative or performance-focused role.


• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills.


• Advanced Excel capability and confidence working with large datasets.


• Ability to turn complex information into practical business recommendations.


• Strong attention to detail and a proactive, curious approach.


• Experience with Power BI or other BI tools essential.


• Knowledge of logistics, supply chain, transport, shipping or commodities is desirable.
