Overview

Supply Chain Operative (Nights)

Kinnerton Confectionery, Fakenham

We are recruiting for a Supply Chain Operative to join our team, at our site in Fakenham. You will be the liaison between production and warehouse.

Position type: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: 40.25

Shift Pattern: Monday - Sunday, 4 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00

Pay range: £14.30/hour

Breaks: 30 minutes paid, 30 minutes unpaid

No experience is needed however it would be desirable to have warehouse or production operative experience.

There will be a 3-month training programme to be a line feeder, then after 6 months, you may be able to complete your forklift licence.

Responsibilities
  • To ensure all finished goods, WIP and excess packaging are removed from the factory floors to the appropriate area.
  • To book goods through QAD and Third-party systems accurately.
  • To control the movements of all stocks throughout the site.
  • To ensure all vehicles are loaded/unloaded in a safe, timely manner.
  • Excellent team and line performance
  • Quality excellence and conformance to specification at all times
  • Ensuring conformance with codes of practice and factory rules at all times
  • Report any possible pest ingress issues to the Shift supervisor immediately.
  • Report any accidents, property damage or make it safe immediately as appropriate.
  • Ensure accuracy in all pallets handled and transactions completed.
  • Promote and encourage GMP and food safety standards at all times.
  • To work alongside the QA department to ensure stock is released as required.
  • To liaise with the purchasing department on any issues with stock received.
  • Raise issues with temperature or environment with the Shift leader as appropriate.
  • Any other duties as required by the role.
Qualifications
  • Forklift licence (Counterbalance, Reach, Flexi Truck, PPT) or willingness to learn.
  • Previous Warehouse or Production experience. – desirable
  • Basic knowledge of health and safety.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent Computer Skills
  • Teamwork
  • Able to work independently and seek appropriate resources to support and achieve goals. – essential.
  • A drive to succeed, improve and challenge the norm.
  • Good understanding of HACCP
  • Good understanding of Maths and Literacy.
