Due to successful tendering and a healthy forward order book, our client is looking to expand their joinery arm business and is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their procurement team based in Borehamwood and Central London. Candidates from either a specialist sub-contractor or main contractor background with proven construction experience and established supply chain connections will be considered. This role offers opportunities for career advancement based on performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage supply chain strategies in collaboration with the buying department
  • Travel regularly within the UK to supplier sites
  • Analyze shipping and delivery data to resolve issues
  • Support the production of joinery and door sets
  • Identify cost-effective supply chain solutions
  • Coordinate with contracts managers to meet project-specific requirements
  • Manage storage and transportation logistics within the M25 area
  • Use Excel to create delivery and production schedules, tracking product progress
  • Read drawings and conduct spot checks at supplier facilities and warehouses
  • Chair pre-start meetings with joinery suppliers to ensure readiness and completeness of work
  • Work from either the Stewartby warehouse or Borehamwood head office when not traveling
