Due to successful tendering and a healthy forward order book, our client is looking to expand the joinery arm of their business. They are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to join their procurement team based in Borehamwood and Central London. Candidates from either a specialist sub-contractor or main contractor background are considered, but must have proven construction experience with established supply chain connections. This is an opportunity for performance to lead to career advancement within the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage the supply chain strategy in collaboration with the buying department.
• Travel regularly within the UK to supplier sites; travel is a significant aspect of this role.
• Analyze shipping and delivery data to resolve supplier and project issues.
• Assist in the successful production of joinery and door set products.
• Identify cost-effective supply chain methods.
• Work closely with contracts managers to meet project-specific requirements.
• Coordinate with storage facilities to arrange storage and transportation within the M25 area.
• Utilize Excel to produce delivery and production schedules, tracking product progress through development and manufacturing stages.
• Read drawings and perform spot checks at supplier facilities and storage warehouses prior to delivery.
• Chair pre-start meetings with joinery suppliers to ensure all aspects of the work are included before manufacturing begins.
• When not traveling, be based at either the Stewartby warehouse or the Borehamwood head office.
