Supply Chain Manager

Type: Permanent

Location: Based in Steyning

Work Arrangement: 4 days in the office, 1 day working at home

Salary: £42,000 - £50,000 per annum

Tony Alan Recruitment is seeking a Supply Chain Executive to join a growing SME business with a turnover of £18m, located in the Steyning area.

The team manages stock, maximizes sales, and collaborates with the product team to develop a forward-thinking and commercial product range.

The role involves producing daily and weekly reports to support trading decisions, liaising with suppliers, updating delivery schedules, raising purchase orders, booking shipments, and assisting the Operations team with stock queries.

Your duties will include:

  • Managing shipping and ordering, reporting on lead times, supplier performance, delivery schedules, and freight costs.
  • Updating reports to help maximize sales.
  • Communicating regularly with suppliers to ensure product supply schedules are maintained.
  • Maintaining website pricing, including uploading new products and discounts.
  • Supporting accurate data entry in buying plans.
  • Raising and submitting purchase orders timely.
  • Managing stock delivery schedules and sharing updates with the team.
  • Booking and managing shipments with logistics providers.
  • Maintaining the product database and uploading products to websites and systems.
  • Supporting the Commercial team with analysis and tasks.

Key requirements:

  • Understanding of supply chain processes.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, with a can-do attitude.
  • Advanced Excel skills (PivotTables, VLOOKUP, SUMIFs).
  • Experience in retail or a commercial environment is highly desirable.
