The Vacancy

Can you help Platform Property Care shape the future of supply chain strategy?

We have an exciting opportunity for a strategic and experienced Supply Chain Professional, based in the Worcestershire/West Midlands area, to join our growing Platform Property Care Commercial Team.

Platform Property Care is a dynamic and expanding property maintenance business committed to delivering exceptional service and value through innovative supply chain management. We are seeking a forward-thinking Supply Chain Manager to lead the transformation of our supply chain operations.

Reporting to the Head of Commercial, you will take a strategic leadership role in managing our materials for Property Care teams and waste disposal supply chain partners. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Shaping and implementing long-term materials strategies
  2. Leading high-value purchasing decisions, including ad-hoc procurement up to £1 million annually
  3. Analyzing purchasing data to identify trends, reduce unnecessary spend, and inform strategic priorities
  4. Driving innovation and continuous improvement across supply chain processes
  5. Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure a seamless and efficient internal buying experience

This role is ideal for someone who thrives on autonomy, enjoys making data-driven decisions, and is passionate about delivering value and efficiency at scale.

What We're Looking For

  1. Degree-level education or equivalent experience in an economics-related discipline
  2. Relevant qualification in Supply Chain Management (e.g., HNC/HND in Procurement and Supply Management)
  3. Strong knowledge of building materials in the housing or construction sector
  4. Proven experience in supply chain management with a strategic mindset
  5. Financial acumen, including budget preparation and oversight
  6. Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills
  7. Strong leadership, negotiation, and influencing capabilities
  8. Experience of customer consultation and understanding diverse needs across the business
  9. A proactive, analytical, and solutions-focused approach
  10. Advanced IT skills (Outlook, Word, Excel)

While this role is home-based, you should have the ability to travel to Group offices and other locations as required. Our Group offices are located at Birmingham Business Park Solihull and Central Park, Worcester. Candidates need to be based in Worcestershire and the West Midlands area.

Regular operational travel around our geography is expected; therefore, a driving license and access to your own vehicle are essential. Mileage will be claimed in line with our Mileage policy.
