Job description

Hours: Monday to Friday (08:30am - 17:00pm) and Friday (08:30am - 14:30pm)

Salary: Extremely Competitive (Neg on experience)

Currently, we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to work for a leading PVC manufacturer in Halifax. You will oversee the smooth operation of the entire supply chain, from supplier relations to inventory control. The role involves developing and improving supply chain processes to drive operational excellence and achieve high service levels.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement efficient systems for tracking and communication throughout the supply chain.
2. Reduce lead times and improve overall efficiency.
3. Build strong, long-lasting relationships with key global suppliers, ensuring alignment with ISO 9001 quality standards.
4. Manage inventory control and demand planning using proven methods.
5. Implement a robust demand management process.
6. Support the implementation of planning software tools.
7. Work to reduce costs while maintaining margins.
8. Ensure clear communication and information flow from suppliers, including pricing and updates.
9. Mentor supply chain team members to achieve both business and personal objectives, fostering a positive work environment.
10. Ensure compliance with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, including ISO 9001, 14001, and 45001.

Key Skills/Experience Required:

1. Previous supply chain management experience within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
2. Exceptional organizational and multi-tasking skills.
3. Highly skilled in data analysis and reporting.
4. Analytical mindset with strong business acumen.
5. Previous SAP experience is essential.
6. IT literate, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite.
