Job description

A leading food manufacturer is now seeking a Supply Chain Manager to lead the logistics, distribution, and storage operations for the business; managing and developing all aspects of the supply chain function to ensure customer service is maintained at all times.

The successful Supply Chain Manager will have previous experience within the food manufacturing or wider FMCG sector. You will be a strong people manager with proven experience of developing and mentoring high-performing teams. You will have previous experience in driving continuous improvement and health & safety initiatives in your area of responsibility and will have the ability to develop, review, and identify cost optimization opportunities with 3rd party suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage the Supply Chain function to ensure BRC and financial audit compliance.
  • Manage all third-party logistics and storage operations: contract review and renewal, optimizing costs, identifying and managing improvement plans, regular reviews.
  • Provide OTIF information to departments and ensure customer OTIF targets are met.
  • Oversee the supply chain budget.
  • Management of team through appraisals and regular documented reviews, implementing and carrying out any required training, development, disciplines, grievance issues, and on-time return to works and absence management.
  • Drive a safer place to work through hazard reporting across the team and site.
