Job description

The Growth Company’s Business Growth Hub team is seeking a Supply Chain Manager to support procurement and management of subcontractors delivering workforce-based essential skills in compliance with Public Sector Procurement Directives.

Note: This role is subject to contract award, expected notification by end September 2024.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead supply chain systems and ensure compliance with best practices and regulations.
  2. Manage subcontractor onboarding, including due diligence and compliance processes.
  3. Identify and manage supply chain risks.
  4. Develop relationships internally and externally to ensure effective framework operation.
  5. Establish regular performance management processes with subcontractors.
  6. Monitor and improve subcontractor performance against targets.
  7. Coordinate quality monitoring and reporting to meet standards like Ofsted, Merlin, and AELP.
  8. Present updates to the Programme Steering/Operations Board.
Experience
  1. Experience in setting up funded supply chain management systems aligned with procurement standards.
  2. Proven ability in managing relationships and subcontractors in skills or welfare sectors.
  3. Strong knowledge of government-funded programmes and legal, financial, social issues in procurement.
  4. Degree or equivalent in business or project management.

  2. Strong project management and IT skills.
  3. Ability to analyze risks and manage multiple procurements.
  4. Flexible, proactive, and able to work under tight deadlines.
  5. Skilled in building operational relationships.
