Job summary

Responsibilities

• Managing and developing relationships with waste management suppliers
• Negotiating supplier pricing and ensuring competitive buy rates
• Reviewing supplier performance, service levels and availability
• Supporting Sales Team with pricing, quotations and tender opportunities
• Working with Sales and Operations to meet customer requirements
• Identifying opportunities to improve supplier performance and margins
• Monitoring supplier costs and margin management
• Managing supplier queries and onboarding of suppliers
• Maintaining supplier and pricing information across systems
• Providing commercial and administrative support as needed

JOB: Supply Chain Manager

LOCATION: Bournemouth

SALARY: £40,000 - £45,000 plus commission.

We are looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to join a lovely family run business in Bournemouth. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role within a dynamic and growing business, managing supplier relationships, pricing, service performance and the day-to-day effectiveness of the supply chain.

The key areas of the role of Supply Chain Manager are:

• -Managing and developing relationships with our extensive network of waste management suppliers
• -Negotiating supplier pricing and ensuring competitive buy rates are secured
• Reviewing supplier performance, service levels and availability
• -Supporting the Sales Team with pricing, quotations and tender opportunities
• -Working closely with Sales and Operations to ensure customer requirements can be delivered effectively
• -Identifying opportunities to improve supplier performance, service quality and commercial margins
• -Monitoring supplier costs and supporting effective margin management
• -Managing supplier queries, resolving service issues and ensuring appropriate follow-up
• -Supporting the onboarding, review and ongoing management of suppliers
• -Maintaining accurate supplier and pricing information across company systems
• -Providing commercial and administrative support across the wider business where required

The role is predominantly office-based, with the Supply Chain Manager working from the office in Bournemouth.
