Job Description

We have been retained by a manufacturer in Knowsley to source a Supply Chain Manager to head up their Supply Chain function. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who wants to add value to a well-established and growing business.

This is a pivotal role for our client and is viewed as a key appointment in the business.

Reporting to the Manufacturing Director and with a multi-disciplined supply chain team reporting into you, you will be responsible for:

  • Managing materials planning, purchasing, stock holding and dispatch.
  • Inventory management and improvement thereof
  • Materials planning & forecasting
  • Supplier selection
  • Team development
  • Supply chain improvement programmes

Currently a Supply Chain Manager, Materials Manager or Supervisor within a manufacturer, you will be experienced in working in an assembly engineering environment. Experience in a business driven by technical drawings and BOMs is essential. You will be experienced in the full end to end supply chain management with experience of managing planning, materials and warehouse management. You will be an excellent relationship builder and a highly effective leader. You will be numerate and analytical and be proven in working in a structured yet collaborative way.

Experienced and proven in developing high performing teams is key. MRP experience is essential.
