Job description

PURPOSE

To lead and optimise end-to-end supply chain operations. This includes procurement, inventory control, logistics, and distribution ensuring quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITIES OF THE ROLE:

Develop and execute supply chain strategy, covering procurement, inventory, logistics, and shipping.

Manage supplier relationships, contracts, and compliance with ISO9001 across 1,000 line items.

Oversee inventory control and accurate monthly cycle counts of key items.

Collaborate with Operations and Engineering on product changes, ECNs, and new product launches.

Support infrastructure upgrades (facilities, systems, and IT) to improve supply chain performance.

Ensure team structure and capacity meets business demand through training, recruitment and clear direction.

Lead and implement process improvements aligned with business goals.

Influence strategic planning as a key member of the UK Senior Management Team.

PERSON SPECIFICATION:

Proven leadership in supply chain in an engineering or manufacturing environment.

Strong knowledge of MRP/ERP systems (ideally WinMan).

Experience across procurement, logistics, inventory, and supplier management.

Analytical, detail-oriented, and process-driven.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Hands-on, team-focused leadership style.

CIPS qualified (preferred).

Demonstrated success in process improvement and cost reduction.

PACKAGE:

Salary circa GBP65-75k (depending on experience)

Annual bonus ( GBP2,000)
