Job description

We are seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager with a proven track record in managing a significant annual spend, strong SLA (Service Level Agreement) experience, and expertise in procurement planning, stock management, and supplier performance. This is a high-impact role in a dynamic and fast-paced environment where you will have the opportunity to drive efficiencies, streamline operations, and contribute to the growth and success of the company.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Procurement Planning: The supply chain manager will develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure the timely and cost-effective sourcing of materials, products, and services.
  2. Stock Management: Oversee inventory levels, optimize stock replenishment, and ensure alignment with operational needs while minimizing excess stock.
  3. New Product Development: The supply chain manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to manage supply chain processes for new product introductions, ensuring smooth transitions from concept to market.
  4. Supplier Performance & Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers, manage supplier relationships, and ensure optimal performance through SLAs and KPIs.
  5. Optimization: Continuously identify opportunities for supply chain optimization, including cost reductions, process improvements, and risk management.
  6. Team Management: As the supply chain manager you will lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team. Foster a collaborative environment that encourages growth, accountability, and excellence.
Key Requirements:
  1. Experience: At least 3+ years of experience in supply chain management, with significant exposure to managing a budget of £22 million or more.
  2. SLA Expertise: Strong knowledge and experience in managing SLAs, ensuring compliance and continuous performance improvements.
  3. Procurement & Stock Management: Proven ability to manage procurement planning, stock levels, and supply chain processes effectively.
  4. New Product Development: Experience in managing the supply chain for new product development initiatives.
  5. Negotiation Skills: Exceptional negotiation skills and the ability to foster long-term relationships with suppliers.
  6. People Management: As the supply chain manager you will have strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and manage a team.
  7. Analytical Abilities: Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven decisions.
Desirable:
  1. Qualifications: A degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field (CIPS or equivalent certifications are a plus).
  2. Industry Knowledge: Experience in fenestration, kitchen or manufacturing is desirable, but not essential.
