Job summary

Owen Daniels is seeking an experienced Supply Chain Manager to lead Planning and Purchasing across a manufacturing operation, owning customer demand, production planning, supplier performance, and continuous improvement.

You will drive SIOP, manage the sales orderbook, coordinate with manufacturing for on-time delivery, and mentor the team in lean practices; on-site role with an ASAP start.

Qualifications

• Experience leading planning and purchasing in precision manufacturing.
• Proven track record implementing SIOP processes.
• Strong experience with ERP/MRP systems.

Responsibilities

• Leading the Planning and Purchasing teams, managing customer demand through the SIOP process to ensure production, capacity and material plans are aligned with business requirements.
• Managing the production planning process, ensuring customer demand is translated into achievable production schedules through effective capacity planning and SIOP.
• Managing the sales orderbook, monitoring customer demand changes, producing KPI reports, and working closely with manufacturing to ensure delivery performance and operational targets are achieved.
• Driving supplier performance, managing key supplier relationships, implementing cost reduction initiatives, improving purchasing processes and using ERP systems to optimise planning, scheduling, inventory and supply chain performance.
• Coaching and developing the supply chain team, embedding lean processes, improving KPI performance, and ensuring compliance with company procedures and supply chain best practice.

Essential Experience/Skills/Qualifications:

• Proven experience in a Supply Chain Manager, Planning Manager, Demand Planning Manager or similar leadership position within precision manufacturing
• Strong understanding of both production planning/SIOP and purchasing
• Experienced using ERP/MRP systems
