Supply Chain Manager
Full-time | On-site | Flexitime available

A leading manufacturing business in Cambridge is looking for an experienced Supply Chain Manager to optimise material flow and supplier performance across its operations. This is a strategic and hands-on leadership role, overseeing Purchasing, Planning, and Supplier Quality Engineering to drive efficiency, cost reduction, and supply chain excellence in a complex electro-mechanical manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Develop and implement supply chain strategies to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
  2. Lead supplier quality initiatives, ensuring on-time delivery and compliance with high standards.
  3. Negotiate contracts and manage supplier relationships to support new product introduction.
  4. Drive continuous improvement through Lean principles and problem-solving methodologies.
  5. Oversee ERP-driven capacity planning and stock management.
  6. Lead and mentor a multidisciplinary team, fostering a high-performance culture.

What You'll Need
  1. Proven supply chain management experience, ideally within electronics, scientific manufacturing, or a similar industry.
  2. Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
  3. Knowledge of Lean principles, ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365), and data-driven decision-making.
  4. Experience with PPAP, FMEA, and APQP is highly desirable.
  5. A relevant degree and/or MCIPS qualification.
