Due to significant growth across our Transmission and Distribution UK business, Wood are seeking a Supply Chain Manager to broaden our supply chain and strengthen relationships with existing suppliers and subcontractors.
We are open to applications from across the UK to be based at any of our main offices in particular – Aberdeen, Glasgow, Darlington, Knutsford on a hybrid working basis.
The Role
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for the leadership and management of the subcontracts and procurement function across Wood Transmission & Distribution, providing all aspects of subcontract and supplier management. With an emphasis on civil engineering works, the role includes subcontract management, identification and pre-qualification of new contractors, development of tender and commercial strategies, negotiation, reporting, and bid support.
This role will set and deliver functional strategy and key business objectives, including cost savings, working capital improvement, and people development. Key aspects include adding value through efficiencies, waste reduction, and cost savings within the supply chain.
