Job description

We are excited to announce an opportunity for a Supply Chain Improvement Lead at our Severn Beach, Bristol location. This key role at Plasma Technology ensures our customers receive their products on schedule, at optimal cost, and with high quality.

This role, reporting directly to the Head of the Supply Chain and engaging with the Executive Leadership Team, involves driving supply chain performance improvements through lean methodologies and process optimization. You will lead cross-functional teams to design and implement strategic projects that significantly impact performance, playing a vital role in our success.

The ideal candidate will be an experienced supply chain professional with a track record of continuous improvement and delivering sustainable benefits. Strong technical, communication, leadership, and management skills are essential, along with industry best practices knowledge. As part of our Management Team, you will support our business strategy, foster interdepartmental relationships, and champion ongoing development within Plasma Technology.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain to define and implement best practice processes aligned with the target operating model.
  2. Develop and implement standard playbooks and toolsets for supply chain management.
  3. Create standardized reporting for areas such as order book management, shortage management, cost reduction, and supplier performance scorecards.
  4. Ensure ERP compliance and best practices for accurate data input and output.
  5. Develop a Data Governance framework for ERP across the supply chain.
  6. Identify skills gaps and develop training programs for the purchasing function.
  7. Automate and evolve Supply Chain KPIs, establishing phased improvement initiatives.
  8. Implement improvement governance, including visual management, to promote cross-functional engagement and effective escalation.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of supply chain experience (Purchasing Manager or similar).
  • MCIPS or equivalent degree.
  • Project management certification is advantageous.
Professional Skills
  • Extensive knowledge of complex manufacturing supply chains.
  • Proficiency in Lean methodology within supply chain and purchasing processes.
  • Expertise in ERP/MRP systems with strong data analysis skills.
  • Experience with process improvement methodologies like Lean or Six Sigma.
  • Strong analytical, project management, communication, and change management skills.
  • Leadership ability to inspire and lead teams towards continuous improvement.
