We're seeking an experienced Operations Director to take ownership of a broad remit including Health & Safety, Quality, Procurement, and Multi-Site Warehouse Operations for a forward-thinking organisation in the manufacturing and distribution sector.

About the Role

You'll be the strategic driving force behind operational excellence - enhancing systems, empowering teams, and championing a culture of safety, performance, and innovation. Working cross-functionally with senior leadership, your mission will be to align operational capability with ambitious commercial growth.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and executing a scalable, data-driven operations strategy.
  • Leading and mentoring teams across Health & Safety, Quality, Purchasing, and Warehousing.
  • Managing two warehouse sites, driving efficiency, automation, and service excellence.
  • Ensuring strong compliance and continuous improvement in health and safety practices.
  • Optimising stock levels, forecasting processes, and supplier performance.
  • Championing process improvement initiatives, including Lean and Six Sigma.
  • Fostering a high-performing, values-led culture through courageous and honest leadership.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • NEBOSH or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Lean Six Sigma or equivalent improvement certification.
  • Degree in Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a relevant field.
