Job description

Demand Planner / Demand Planning / Demand Analyst / Materials Planner / Stock Planner / Materials Analyst / Stock Analyst / Supply Chain Planner / Supply Chain Analyst

Demand Planner:

We are seeking an ambitious and analytical Demand Planner with a logistics/distribution/supply chain background who can drive improvements, efficiency, and simplification across complex data sets (relating to stock/parts). This role supports a major automotive supply chain contract across Europe.

The role involves working with stock/data related to automotive parts, tools, equipment, and managing volumes that have increased by over 300%, from 15,000 to over 60,000 orders annually in the past 12-18 months. The data sets are complex due to mergers and acquisitions, leading to challenges in managing demand because of multiple parts with different codes.

The successful candidate will initially work with various teams to simplify demand planning, stock, and inventory functions by consolidating duplicate parts under single categories, providing an accurate reflection of stock levels and demand capabilities, including seasonal trends. This role aims to develop into a Supply Chain Demand Planning subject matter expert, playing a pivotal role in customer satisfaction and team success on this major contract.

You will work within an experienced team, with opportunities for long-term career development. Additional responsibilities include analyzing data, producing reports, and providing insights to support leadership, sales, warehouse, and logistics teams. The goal is to understand demand challenges, seasonal trends, and ensure data integrity and trust to meet client demands across Europe, including OEMs, manufacturers, dealerships, and workshops.

Demand Planner: Key skills needed:
  1. Strong Excel skills (intermediate/advanced), including lookups and pivot tables.
  2. Data analysis, analytics, and reporting skills.
  3. Knowledge of e-commerce and ERP systems.
  4. Experience in demand planning, logistics, inventory, or supply chain performance, with a focus on process improvements.
  5. Excellent communication skills to build relationships with customers and internal teams to resolve data-related challenges.
  6. A methodical problem solver who enjoys creating simplified and efficient data solutions.
  7. A proactive approach to re-categorizing legacy data with duplicate parts/products under different codes.
  8. Hands-on support with wider logistics operations.
  9. Desirable: Experience with Infor LN, Magento, or Zoho.
