Job description

Purpose

To meet all regulatory and customer quality requirements relating to ISO9001, ISO14001, cGMP and relevant dispatch and transport regulations.

Meet the OTIF performance targets agreed with internal and external customers, with respect to timely preparation and dispatch of product shipments.

To coordinate inward process relief (IPR) system within the Supply Chain team and report to Supply Chain Supervisor.

Control raw material supplier qualification system and report back to Supply Chain team

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure that all Environment, Health & Safety requirements are met including (but not limited to) workplace organisation, work instructions, risk assessments, permit issuing and control, COSHH assessments, housekeeping standards, and operating within the environmental permit.

Provision of all documentation to facilitate sales and sample shipments leaving site.

Organisation of all modes of transport, Road, Sea, Air for shipments together with raising corresponding orders and invoices.

Maintain records of shipments and costs. Regularly review suppliers performance and costs to ensure optimum value for the business.

Close liaison with Production, Projects, Sales, and Quality Departments to ensure shipments leave site when required.

Ensure compliance with relevant Work Instructions and procedures.

Inform departments of any changes to transport regulations which impact on the business.

Provide cover in the absence of Supply Chain Supervisor.

Any other tasks that are commensurate within the Supply Chain.

Excellent confident and clear communication skills required between internal and external customers/suppliers
