Job description

Job Title – Supply Chain Coordinator

Department/Sector – Key Accounts

Job Location – Tilbury

Salary – £20-24k

One of our largest logistic clients has the great opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join their team. They have offices grouped in 5 regions including Europe, Africa and the Middle East, working with management suppliers for the operation and interconnections of ocean and air freight platforms. Our hugely successful client has invested in a wealth of training available to employees to encourage professional development within the company.

As Supply Chain Coordinator, you will arrange and control the exporting of deep sea shipments on behalf of major clients in the chemical industry. You will be responsible for managing the full shipment process for plants under your control.

Responsibilities:
  • Receiving shipments via the appropriate computer systems
  • Arranging export of shipments with carriers
  • Preparation of export customs clearances
  • Communication with customers, plants, and internal staff
  • Use of internal computer systems
  • Invoicing customers
  • Actioning customer enquiries
  • Providing proactive shipment communication
  • Tracking shipments to complete delivery targets on time
Requirements:
  • Minimum of 5 years experience in the industry
  • Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages with fast/accurate keyboard skills
  • Ability to adapt to change and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Knowledge of French or Italian advantageous but not compulsory
  • 5 GCSEs
