We have a fantastic opportunity for a Supply Chain Coordinator to join this ever-growing and thriving manufacturer based in South Birmingham.
Working for a company that truly expects excellence from all of its employees, you will be responsible for forecasting, ordering, and maintaining a continuous and efficient stock supply from a wide range of UK and European suppliers. Using Excel and ERP systems, youll ensure that stock demands are met on time and in line with supply chain trends and business needs.
As the Supply Chain Coordinator, you will have a keen eye for detail, raising purchase orders and overseeing the procurement and processing of new stock, from supplier engagement through to the receipt of goods. Youll be expected to resolve supply issues and queries in a professional and proactive manner. In addition, youll compile weekly stock reports for circulation across the business and analyse data to ensure stock availability aligns with customer demand and projected sales.
With strong analytical skills and confident use of Excel (including V-lookups and Pivot Tables), youll update and maintain product arrival dates and stock levels, ensuring accuracy and consistency in reporting. You will also liaise closely with internal departments to meet customer requirements and coordinate effectively with the Goods In team to confirm accurate receipt and processing of deliveries.
Proactive and solution-focused, you will handle delivery, price, and quality issues with UK and European suppliers, and provide support to the Supply Manager with import operations outside of Europe. Your role will include maintaining purchasing records and spreadsheets, as well as processing all necessary import documentation for European shipments, ensuring full compliance with post-Brexit trading protocols.
To succeed in this rewarding Supply Chain Coordinator role, you will need previous experience in a supply chain or purchasing role, ideally within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Excellent communication skills are essential for daily liaison with suppliers and colleagues, as is the ability to solve problems and plan ahead to prevent supply disruption.
