H&J Martin Ltd (part of the Lagan Specialist Contracting Group) is recruiting a Supply Chain Coordinator.

Role

As a Supply Chain Coordinator, you will be responsible for overseeing H&J Martin's supply chain partners strategy of planning their initial onboarding, implementing ongoing performance management, all while nurturing positive relationships throughout the supply chain. The role holder will possess exceptional organisational abilities, effective communication skills, and a sharp attention to detail.

What you'll do

The following reflect the main tasks associated with the position and are not intended to be exclusive or exhaustive:

Supply Chain Onboarding
  • Overviewing new Supply Chain partners to ensure they meet H&J Martin's minimum requirements and standards.
Information
  • Ensure all supply chain information is up to date on H&J Martin Systems.
Supply Chain Management
  • Evaluating existing supply chain partners to verify compliance with minimum requirements, including insurance, accreditations, and training.
Communication
  • Maintaining regular communication with key stakeholders, including supply chain contacts and H&J Martin operational and service delivery teams.
Performance
  • Monitoring supply chain performance for H&J Martin LTD throughout contract durations, promptly addressing positive and negative performance with supply chain partners.
Risk Management
  • Identify potential risks and challenges associated with supply chain activities and work with operational teams to develop strategies to mitigate these risks.
  • Proactively address concerns as they arise to minimise business disruptions.
Supply Chain Standards
  • Reviewing company Supply Chain Standards to ensure they are up-to-date and adhered to by all parties.
Quality Assurance
  • Assessing new contracts to ensure that relevant supply chain partners are fully accredited to meet client requirements.
Reporting
  • Provide monthly reports on supply chain performance, supplier and senior management team updates.
Continuous Improvement
  • Identifying opportunities for process streamlining, efficiency improvement, and overall enhancement of supply chain partner effectiveness.
  • Recommending and implementing changes, initiatives, or best practices to optimise service delivery and exceed customer expectations.
Remedial Works Coordination
  • Liaise with site teams, contractors, and clients to identify and schedule remedial works.
  • Ensure materials and labour are available to complete defect resolution and compliance-related tasks.
  • Maintain records of remedial actions, including root cause analysis and resolution timelines.
  • Support quality assurance processes and ensure remedial works meet contractual and regulatory standards.
What you’ll bring

As a Supply Chain Coordinator your main skills and experience will include:

Essential Criteria:

  • Proven experience in maintenance coordination, facilities management, or related field, with a minimum of 3 years of experience.
  • Previous experience working with supply chain or contractors.
  • Strong organisational, multitasking, and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively and manage competing demands in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with diverse stakeholders and build positive working relationships.
  • Proficiency in computerised maintenance management systems (CAFM) or similar software for task management and reporting.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality.
