Work type: Permanent. You’ll be working 37 hours per week. Out of hours, weekend working, and bank holidays will be worked as part of a structured stand‑by rota. Once fully trained you will be assessed for working on your own and you will be required to participate in an out of hours standby rota which will include evenings, weekends, and overnight callouts.

As a Warehouse Operative within Yorkshire Water, you will be responsible for the coordination of consignments and maintenance packs for onward delivery to site and be expected to understand stock levels of maintenance parts and critical spares to ensure economic levels are maintained.
In this role, you’ll demonstrate relentless drive, energy and determination to deliver sustainable outperformance for Yorkshire Water that rigorously achieves against demanding competitive industry benchmarks.
We’re looking for someone who can demonstrate financial awareness when making day-to-day business decisions and be responsible for the support of the coordinated output of the logistics team. You’ll work closely with the Warehouse Team Leader and the Warehouse Coordinator providing general administrative support where required as well as training and developing new starters.
Although we operate 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, it’s important to us that we support flexible working patterns and job share options (when we can), to help you make the best of both your work and home life. If successful for the role, you will be required to undergo pre‑employment checks that will include a Basic Disclosure Check, carried out through a third‑party company, prior to commencing employment. Depending on the role, you may also be required to go through the security vetting process for either a Counter‑Terrorist Check or Security Check clearance.
