Job description

Our client is a leading company in the Fresh Produce industry, currently seeking an experienced Supply Chain Controller to be based at their site in Kent. The main purpose of this role is to partner with key stakeholders, including customers, operational managers, and growers, to ensure smooth business operations. This includes supporting the company in aligning customer requirements with operational capabilities. The role involves a diverse range of contacts and tasks, from planning to dispatch of goods, making it an integral part of the business.

Main Key Accountabilities:
  1. Matching customer requirements with operational capacity, planning business activities, pack-house, warehouse, and arrivals in line with capacity and customer needs.
  2. Processing orders and releasing stock to production promptly throughout the day.
  3. Reviewing orders against forecasts and adjusting stock positions to maintain control on a short to medium-term basis.
  4. Using customer portals and data to plan forward requirements and translating this information into weekly grower programs.
  5. Managing raw material arrivals by raising POs and providing data for customs entries for EU products, including invoice reconciliation for customs charges.
  6. Conducting daily raw material stock reconciliation.
  7. Controlling stock to ensure rotational use.
  8. Booking outbound transport for all customers, reconciling invoices, and authorizing relevant payments.
  9. Identifying and resolving operational issues and managing communication during schedule disruptions.
  10. Ensuring operational control and providing appropriate information, training, and instructions to employees.
  11. Complying with company policies and procedures, including H&S, Environmental Policy, and Equal Opportunities.

The successful candidate must possess strong communication, influencing, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively within a team. Building rapport with customers, problem-solving skills, good time management, organizational skills, and excellent IT knowledge are essential.
