Job description

Consortium Professional Recruitment is proud to be partnering with a successful and growing manufacturing business based in East Yorkshire to recruit a Supply Chain Assistant. The client is looking for a methodical, proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys being hands-on across supply chain, production planning, and quality reporting processes.

You will be based at their head office and work closely with internal teams across supply chain, production, sales, and engineering to ensure seamless coordination from purchasing through to product delivery.

About the role:

  • Raise and manage purchase orders.
  • Track and update serial numbers, pricing, exchange rates, and supplier data.
  • Send quotation requests and maintain supplier/product information in ERP systems.
  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in Bills of Materials and drawings with the R&D team.
  • Schedule and configure production jobs in the system.
  • Liaise with Sales and Warehouse to manage lead times and updates.
  • Place weekly orders for production components and support inventory levels.
  • Adjust schedules based on production priorities and job rescheduling.
  • Gather missing information and liaise across departments for resolution.
  • Coordinate with 3PL to manage returns and ensure system accuracy.
About the Candidate:
  • Strong organisational skills and a methodical, analytical mindset.
  • Excellent communicator both written and verbal.
  • Accuracy and attention to detail in all admin and data processing tasks.
  • Confident using Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Teams, and Power BI.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and capable of working across multiple departments.
  • A genuine team player with a strong work ethic and service-first approach.
