Job summary

SMT Recruitment is seeking a Supply Chain Assistant in Hertfordshire to support stock and orders. You will work closely with the Supply Chain Manager to ensure timely deliveries and accurate data in SAP and internal systems.

The role offers a supportive team environment, opportunities for career development, and a competitive benefits package. Monday to Friday, on-site in Hertfordshire, with exposure to end-to-end supply chain activities.

Qualifications

• Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Purchasing or Customer Operations.
• Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident communicating with suppliers, customers and internal stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Support stock ordering and inventory management to ensure products are available to meet customer demand.
• Liaise with suppliers, transport companies and third-party logistics providers to coordinate inbound deliveries.
• Maintain stock records and identify potential supply issues before they impact customers.
• Assist with purchase orders, forecasting and stock planning through SAP.
• Support weekly stock meetings and communicate updates across the business.
• Maintain accurate product master data and support continuous improvement within the Supply Chain function.

Purpose of the role
